Lean Link Luncheon – May 20, 2015
Hi there folks! We’re going back to the beginning for our May meeting…the beginning of the Lean process that is! Our very own Joy Yori will present her Lean 101 training to our group. This training will offer fantastic descriptions of the tools typically applied to new Lean implementations and will be a healthy review of Lean basics for those of us who have begun the journey to Operational Excellence through Lean.
Joy is Director of First Impressions at Embertson, CPA. She has successfully implemented Lean and process improvement techniques in the service sector, and she is furthering her experience with Lean by offering training through Umpqua Community College. Her perspective will help those of us struggling with the mental hurdle of transitioning Lean from the manufacturing floor to the office.
We’ve had great audiences the last few months, and we’ve engaged in some really meaningful discussions pertaining to real needs in our respective workplaces and implementation of the topics presented. This is exactly why we meet! Part of the reason our group exists is to share what we do well and where we struggle as we strive to be the best at what we do…our Lean Link group is a forum that supports those discussions and helps us all drive toward better business practices while helping our businesses become more robust.
Lean Link Luncheon – Wednesday, May 20th at noon in Elmer’s conference room. We’ll see you there!
As always, please let us know if there are specific topics you would like us to cover. Email these suggestions to: Kristi Smith Consultant (OMEP) firstname.lastname@example.org.
