News for Manufacturers

 Oregon Manufacturing Extension Partnerships (OMEP) Manufacturers’ Summit will be March 11 in Salem.

OMEP is also offering a four-part training for small manufacturers in Douglas County. The series is designed to help grow your leadership team and covers finance, marketing, and continuous improvement fundamentals. For more information: email: heatherhculter@omep.org or call 503-406-3774.  

 

The new UAV (or “drone”) test site established jointly in Oregon and Washington promises to propel that industry forward in the Pacific Northwest.

 

The Cascade Chapter of the AUVSI is hosting a conference in Kent, Washington, April 16 and 17, to share more about the growing industry.

 

Phoenix Charter students have set up and are running one of the largest 3-D printers in Oregon, with the capability of producing 2’x2′ objects. They are interested in working with local entrepreneurs and businesses that are seeking proto-typing capabilities. Oregon’s new crowdfunding rules will allow businesses based in Oregon to raise up to $250,000 directly from Oregon investors through a Community Public Offering (CPO). Those investors are limited to $2,500 per investment.
