A group of interested individuals recently met at the new Umpqua Business Center… (in case you haven’t heard, the Center is open!) to discuss Angel investing and, more specifically, the angel conference model, which has generated a lot activity in Oregon.
Tim Berry, who is affiliated with the Willamette Angel Conference, and Steve Vincent, founder of the Southern Oregon Angel Investment Network, both shared some of their experiences with a group of potential investors. The other active angel conferences or related groups in Oregon are:

The angel conference model is in wide use in Oregon and has been profiled in Oregon Business Magazine. Robert Wiltbank of Willamette University has also done extensive work on documenting the successes of angel investing in Oregon and nationally.
